Swinburne University′s Faculty of Design formed a partnership with the Kasese Humanist Primary School (KHPS), based in Uganda, to help build the school′s technology infrastructure and to develop science-based learning materials.

Swinburne University and industry partner Online Galleries are providing $15,000 to set up a computer lab at the Kasese school, which currently has 360 students and only 3 computers! An additional $5000 of funding will be used to develop learning materials to be sent to KHPS.

Grade 6 students (approximately 11 years of age) have proposed a list of questions for which they would like answers. Students will work with scientists to answer these questions in the form of children′s books and animations.
